This class covers the logistics for appeals of the loss of Medicaid to the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Participants will learn how to interpret DCF’s notices regarding Medicaid eligibility, how to evaluate whether an appeal is appropriate, important timing considerations in requesting an appeal, how to prepare for the hearing, and what to expect at the hearing and afterward.
