Emma joined FHJP in 2025 with a background rooted in nonprofit legal advocacy and community-based education. Before joining the team, she spent several years in legal aid organizations collaborating with attorneys to provide trauma-informed services to clients navigating disability benefits applications, housing insecurity, and immigration systems.
Emma also brings experience designing and delivering public education initiatives. Her work includes co-leading a community forum on mental health crisis response and creating bilingual resources that promote food sovereignty and highlight the connections between human and environmental health. Emma holds an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania, where her research explored empathy-driven, action-oriented approaches to environmental education, and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
She is energized by opportunities to connect legal, educational, and grassroots efforts to advance equity and expand access to essential services for all.
