Mary Ann David is a Senior Attorney at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., thelargest provider of civil legal aid for the low-income communities in Miami-Dade Countyand the Florida Keys. Mary Ann directs the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) whichprovides pro bono representation to low income taxpayers who have controversies withthe IRS. The LITC also conducts outreach and community education to low incometaxpayers with an emphasis on those that have limited English proficiency and identifiesand advocates for systemic issues that impact these taxpayers. Mary Ann has been anattorney at Legal Services for 16 years. Prior to Legal Services, Mary Ann was an in-house attorney for a commercial real estate company that owned and managedshopping centers throughout the United States. Mary Ann is a double graduate of theUniversity of Miami (J.D. 1991, BBA in Accounting, 1984) and is a member of the SouthFlorida Tax Litigation Association and the Tax Sections of The Florida Bar and theAmerican Bar Association.
