Hundreds of thousands of Florida children continue to go without health insurance, with 7.6% of children under age six currently uninsured, one of the highest rates in the nation. Families across the state are facing difficult choices as they struggle to afford healthcare, while more than 42,000 children remain unable to access coverage authorized by a 2023 state law that has yet to be implemented. FHJP, and partners, are calling for urgent action to ensure eligible children can receive the care they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
