Daniel Rowinsky Quintian

Daniel Rowinsky is a staff attorney at Legal Services of Greater Miami. He was born in Venezuela and raised in Uruguay. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2013. During his time at the University of Maryland, Daniel worked in the immigration clinic, assisting low-income immigrants with complex immigration procedures. This experience deepened his understanding of the challenges faced by underserved populations in asserting their rights and the transformative effect that legal representation can have on their lives. Inspired by his work at the clinic in Maryland, Daniel returned to Miami, his adopted city, in 2013 to join Legal Services to contribute to his community.At Legal Services, he has been involved in numerous projects aimed at assisting vulnerable community members. One of his initial projects was the Lazarus Project, which focused on chronically homeless individuals in Miami, helping them resolve legal issues that prevented access to affordable housing. Following this, he led a Medical-Legal Partnership with Camillus Health, working closely with clinic patients to facilitate their access to income, housing, and health insurance. He is currently the lead attorney in two Medical-Legal Partnerships with hospital systems in Miami-Dade County.During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led his organization’s efforts to assist unemployed Floridians in accessing reemployment assistance benefits.
