Medicare is a federal health insurance program for adults 65 and over, as well as certain younger individuals with disabilities. Some low-income Medicare beneficiaries are also eligible for full Medicaid coverage or cost savings through a Medicare Savings Program (QMB, SLMB, QI-1). The interaction between Medicare and Medicaid coverage can be complicated. We provide educational resources explaining how they work together and offer recommendations for overcoming common issues that individuals face when navigating both.
Florida Health Justice Project engages in comprehensive advocacy to expand health care access and promote health equity for vulnerable Floridians.
