Medicare is a federal health insurance program for adults 65 and over, as well as certain younger individuals with disabilities. Some low-income Medicare beneficiaries are also eligible for full Medicaid coverage or cost savings through a Medicare Savings Program (QMB, SLMB, QI-1). The interaction between Medicare and Medicaid coverage can be complicated.
